Stevan Riley

Stevan is one of the most exciting talents working in documentary today. He has been honored by the industry’s most prestigious bodies, collecting nods from the Academy, BAFTA and Grierson. Renowned for the remarkable creativity and scope of his films, Stevan has deftly hopscotched all genres from fly-on-the-wall; archive; animation; music doc and reconstruction. His work reflects not just versatility but a probing intellectual curiosity, married with a populist touch and deep empathy with his subjects. As an accomplished cameraman and editor, Stevan has enviable command of the complexities of the entire film making process, resulting in films that are relentlessly entertaining’ and bound to fascinate’.

Stevan began his working life at London’s premier advertising agency AMV BBDO, where he was entrusted with the company’s flagship accounts, Guinness and Frito lay. Consequently, he has a firm grasp of commercial production and working to a client brief.

Stevan lives between London and Los Angeles. He gained a bachelors degree in Modern History at Oxford University.
